Information Technology Trainee

We currently have an excellent career opportunity for an Information Technology Trainee at our corporate headquarters in Lakeland, FL.

This entry level position is an excellent opportunity for a candidate desiring to progress into an IT Career path as an applications developer.  The selected Trainee will undertake specialized training and specific work assignments in our Applications Development area.

Primary responsibilities will include:
Modification of existing source code, and
Development of new application code.

Additional responsibilities and opportunities include:
Assisting with ongoing support to existing applications
Creation of system documentation
Work towards learning the Watkins Motor Lines standards and procedures 
Submit complete and accurate time reporting on a weekly basis
Learn the technology and tools used at Watkins Motor Lines
Will keep superiors informed of assignment status.

Qualifications:
Must be a recent college graduate (previous 6 months) with a Bachelors Degree in MIS/IT
Have an average GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 in MIS/IT related courses and a 3.0 GPA or better overall
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be a team player.
