Information and Data Modeling Specialist
Job Description:
Binary Consulting, Inc. seeks multiple vocabulary specialists to support our DoD customer in their efforts to develop and establish coordinated enterprise level information vocabularies across various cross-domain, mission-critical communities of interest. The information vocabularies will consist of dictionaries, taxonomies, ontologies, authoritative data sources and information modeling products. The vocabulary specialists will also convert the information vocabularies into formats that can implemented within operating environments to support enterprise services such as discovery, storage and life-cycle management.
Required Skills and Experience:
Requires a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in information and data modeling, including knowledge and experience in a substantial subset of the following technologies and engineering practices:Taxonomy and Ontology developmentXML and OWL schema development Data Dictionary development Content or Entity extraction Commercial Search engines, technologies and techniques Metadata and metadata creation Indexing schemes Automated tools to support schema integration and analysis (desired) Taxonomy and ontology workbenches and analysis tools Related current and emerging representation and query standards.
Education: Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree desired.
Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret Clearance desired.
