Infrastructure Project Manager
We are looking for an infrastructure project manager on behalf of our client, Boston Scientific.? This position is based in Natick, MA.?

Boston Scientific owns and operates a global computing and telecommunications infrastructure in support of its worldwide Information Technology business systems. The computing infrastructure is comprised of over 15,000 desktop and mobile PC clients (WIN XP, 2000 Pro), 500 WIN 2003 servers, Active Directory, with a corporate data center located in our Natick, MA headquarters. Major business systems include SAP, Hyperion, PeopleSoft, PDM, MS Office 2000 and 2003, MS Exchange/Outlook, and others. The telecommunications environment connects 50+ major locations worldwide. This position will be responsible for developing and managing Boston Scientific?s global IT project initiatives throughout the enterprise. Assignments will include the responsibility for managing large, complex technical projects in either the computing or networking infrastructure areas. Inasmuch, the key skill set is a core expertise in at least one technical area of telecommunications/data networking/security or computing. This is a high profile position within the organization, and has direct impact on the company?s successful application of investments in information technologies. The incumbent must bring a demonstrated track record of success in managing large, complex, multi-million dollar global initiatives in a highly diversified and rapidly changing environment. The position will work closely with principal engineers focused on computing and networking related products, services, and tools as well as BSC, EDS, and Accenture managers, engineers, programmers, and technical support staff throughout the BSC enterprise

Responsibilities:
Develop and manage key global IT technical infrastructure projects.
Develop project plans that address and manage cost, ROI, staffing, training, risk management, and communications.
Manage cross-functional teams of BSC and EDS technical and IT business staff, from the collection of business requirements through approvals to implementation and release to production support.
Evaluate key products, services, and suppliers, effectively manage BSC?s key equipment and service providers/partners in the delivery of high quality, cost effective products and solutions.
Develop and manage BSC?s global IT project forecasts and manage corporate level initiatives for new or emerging, enhanced, replacement, or upgraded networks/computing products, and services.
Develop, present, and advocate to senior IT management the demonstrable business cases for corporate level technical initiatives, including ROI, business drivers, and organizational efficiencies.

?Qualifications:

Minimum BS Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field. Advanced degreed preferred.
Additional industry certifications helpful (Cisco, Microsoft., PMP)
5-7 years direct experience as a technical project manager, preferably involved in multi-national assignments and multi-vendor environments. Demonstrated success in managing large scale, complex technical projects in a multi-national, rapidly changing IT environment. Experience in managing outsourced resources necessary.
Current working knowledge of all telecommunications and computing products, services, and companies.
Working knowledge of all major networking/data security/computing protocols, products, software, and hardware.
Working knowledge of key enterprise management tools (Concord, NetScout, H-P OpenView, OpNet, Tivoli, etc.)
Working knowledge of a variety of networking/data security/computing protocols, products, software, and hardware.
Demonstrated experience in managing global service and equipment providers, as well as outsourced consultants, engineers, and technical support staff.
Demonstrated success in large-scale technical projects, including the management of highly distributed and diverse project teams.
Demonstrated capabilities in presenting and advocating large programs to senior IT management teams.
Strong customer service presence, and interpersonal skills
