Inquiry Analyst

Summary:

Gartner Invest, a premium service within Gartner, is seeking Inquiry Analysts to support research-related inquiries from our Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Hedge Fund clients. The Inquiry Analyst is the primary point of contact for our clients and sales staff in fulfilling research inquiries. The individual in this role will have the opportunity to develop close working relationships with clients and gain insight into a variety of different verticals within the technology industry.
Key responsibilities include:

Developing solid understanding of Gartner research, its relevance to the investment community, and how it can be provided on a timely basis;
Being accountable for all stages of the client inquiry process: receive requests, set and manage client expectations, deliver published research, customized data or where applicable, coordinate access to Gartner analysts;
Continually fostering client relationship through proactivity: conducting customized searches and proactively sending relevant research to clients based on their identified interests;
Collaborating with Sales: assisting sales with prospects and renewal opportunities; advising sales on up-sale opportunities and client servicing issues.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required, major in business or IT a plus.
Related investment or technology industries experience a plus.
Customer service focused.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Able to problem solve and bring timely resolution to issues.
Able to interact with extremely demanding and knowledgeable senior-level clients.
Able to work under time sensitive conditions.
Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Able to work West Coast hours, if needed.
