Insertion Services Technician

Viamedia, a cable television advertising sales company with operations in 14 states, is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our corporate Operations Team as an Insertion Services Technician. As a second/ swing shift IST you will be responsible for ensuring system operations during the evening hours.  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Communicating with business partners and management to ensure completion of technical operations. Such as:loading schedulesdistribution of MPEG2 videossystem monitoring/ reportingtroubleshooting/ technical support Digitizing advertising commercials into an MPEG2 format for distributionRAID system managementLong form video encoding and distribution including VOD

 

Experience in using Windows and UNIX platforms required.  Experience with audio and video equipment preferable but not required.  What you must bring to the table: a great personality, strong & efficient work ethic, capacity to learn, excellent verbal/written communication skills, attention to detail, college degree or equivalent successful work experience.
