The $2B Security business is a high priority within the Honeywell portfolio. The Security business focuses on electronic security technologies - access systems, digital video, and alarm. We built a state-of-the-art Service Center in Louisville to handle the Customer Support function for the Security business. Honeywell Access Systems is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced technical professional to join our Service Center staff. Responsibilities include:

Active involvement in ACD phone queue taking customer calls and appropriately recording in the CRM in the form of call logs.

Maintain cooperative, harmonious relationships with our customers and other technicians with particular attention to establishing and maintaining an effective department.

Assist in new and existing product testing.

Install, program, and troubleshoot all Northern Core product lines; including Nstar, WinPak1.x, WinPak2.x, PassPoint, N750, and Lobby Works.

Read and comprehend technical documents, quick start guides, and configuration documentation.

Work with senior technicians on new product documentation.

Ensure safeguarding and efficient use of HAS furnished materials and equipment assigned to use.

Notify Technical Support Management when non-typical product and/or customer problems arise.



1-3 years of relevant experience is required.Associates degree is required.Excellent customer service skills with exp. in technical phone or onsite customer support.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems: NT, 2000, and XP. (2003 aplus).Previous experience with security and/or access control products in a technical capacity. A technical degree can be substituted for  this experience.Previous experience with troubleshooting techniques on technical equipment.Previous experience with networking and software configurations.Solid understanding of network technologies, including Lan/Wan configurations router, and hub functionality.Computer hardware troubleshooting and Microsoft Operating System knowledge.Excellent oral and written business communication skills.MCSA or MCSE certification is required. A+ Certification is desired.Network+ certification is desired.
