Insurance Claim Adjuster - Liability and/or Casualty

The Bedford Park, Illinois office currently has openings for auto claims representative experienced with liability and/or casualty claims.  These positions will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, document, and settle personal lines automobile claims.  The Auto Liability Claims Representative and the Casualty Claim Representative will have extensive contact with insureds, claimants, and all other parties involved in the investigation, determination of liability, and closure of claims.

 

Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 1 year previous auto liability and/or casualty claims experience as well as the ability to multitask and make decisions.  Computer proficiency, good oral and written communication skills, the ability to deal with conflict, and give outstanding customer service are a must.  This position requires good time management skills and attention to detail.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

* 2 yrs to 5 yrs of Claims adjusting or supervisory experience

* Excellent analytical/interpersonal skills

* Excellent negotiation, communication, organizational skills

* Strong typing & PC skills

* General insurance knowledge

* Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed Claim Adjuster

 

Preferred:

* College Degree

* Ability to use on-line claims system
