JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Integration Consulting Manager - Application Development is both a functional and technical expert for a group of network application products. The candidate must have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle. In addition, the candidate must have extensive work experience in network systems and a deep understanding of how the applications operate and depend upon the underlying network systems.
 
The primary responsibilities of the Integration Consulting Manager - Application Development are to:
? Work with the sales team to establish key business relationships and secure project engagement opportunities.
? Drive projects/programs from initial definition and planning through to implementation.
? Coordinate, oversee and direct multiple application points of contact on multiple projects in the areas of requirements gathering, application design, development, testing and implementation, delivery date commitments, project estimates and planning.
? Own and direct staffing plans, project plans, and project budgets
? Ensure all projects for which he/she is responsible are completed on schedule and meets the business, technical and established quality requirements
? Create project status reports
? Communicate accurate and useful status to Team Lead, and / or Program Manager as appropriate.
? Ensure that deliverables meet the appropriate project, development, and quality standards.
? Ensure that deliverables meet the agreed upon timelines.
? Fulfill obligations/completion of deliverables in multiple areas of responsibility including requirements definition, designs, code reviews, testing plans, test execution, quality assurance, deployment/installation, etc.
? Provide leadership in application development areas such as defect tracking, version control, release management, change control, quality assurance & testing, ITIL, data quality, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

? 5 plus years of experience developing, supporting and/or maintaining applications and systems
? Experience with offshore delivery methodology
? Strong communications skills (written and oral) required
? Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word) experience required
? Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering preferred
? Experience managing and developing others required
? Previous senior development or analyst experience (VB, .NET, MS SQL 2000, or other client/server applications). Command of current Window Architecture (Windows 2000/2003).
? Experience working with QA/Software Testing tools.
? 3 plus years experience in application development areas of defect tracking, version control, release management, change control, quality assurance & testing, ITIL, and data quality.
? Strong leadership, management, mentoring, presentation, organizational, problem-solving, communication and customer service expertise with great attention to details and deadlines required.
? Ability to conduct workshops and educate others on application development means and methods.
