Intermediate Programmer

PlattForm Advertising is a full-service integrated marketing communications agency specializing in direct-response advertising within the postsecondary education industry. PlattForm provides all aspects of advertising campaigns in-house. These services include strategic media planning and buying, creative production, direct mail, web design and full-service web marketing. PlattForm specializes in the proprietary school market, servicing over 1000 campus locations across the USA and Canada.



 

We are currently seeking Intermediate Programmers.  Tasks include performing maintenance and changes to existing code and designing and implementing new functionality to existing systems. Able to create effective user interfaces in web and windows applications. Able to make at least minor database level changes to existing systems involving creating or changing tables and stored procedures. Needs to have good communication skills and be able to work closely with others on a team.


 

Requirements:
? Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
? 1-2 years professional experience in a programming position.
? Strong understanding of the working of databases, and web sites.
? Significant demonstrated ability in one or more of the following technologies: C#.NET, VBScript, ASP 3.0, PHP, MS SQL Server, MS Access, MySQL, JavaScript, Java, C, C++.
? Work experience developing software that uses an SQL-based relational database technology.
? Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
? Communication skills.
? Detail-oriented.
? Able to meet deadlines.

 

Additional Skills Preferred:
? PHP, Linux/Apache, MySQL, and/or PostgreSQL.
? Must have very strong organizational and leadership skills, as well as strong adherance to deadlines.
