Internal IT Auditor

Our client in West Palm Beach is seeking an Internal IT Auditor.  Only local candidates and individuals who do not require sponsorship to work in the U.S. can be considered at this time.

 

 

Summary: 

Performs IT audits to assess effectiveness of IT system, general computer controls, and efficiency of IT operations.  Report issues and recommendations to management and to play an active role in the continuous improvement of the Corporate Audit function.

 

Duties Include:

? Assist in developing an IT audit plan with the primary objective of evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the IT systems of internal control and the quality of ongoing operations.


? Assess the effectiveness of system controls and general computer controls to ensure that transactions are properly authorized, system access is appropriate, and a proper segregation of duties exists in the IT environment.

 

? Plan and execute audits in a professional manner and ensure timely completion with the primary focus on accuracy and quality of the audit product.

 

? Discuss audit findings and recommendations with appropriate management.

 

? Prepare audit reports which are timely, concise, and understandable and which include constructive recommendations and substantive matters that are appropriate to the business circumstances and environment.

 

? Maintain a strong focus on managing client needs and developing productive working relationships with client personnel.

 

? Utilize technology and tools to continually learn and innovate, share knowledge and enhance the delivery of audit services.

 

? Maintain independence in both fact and appearance

 

Qualifications:

 

? Degree in Computer Science, Business Management or other relevant field.

? Minimum 2 years of IT audit experience plus experience in information security, system development life cycle, change management of application, database, network and system software.

? IT Audit Certification (CISA or CISM) is preferred.

? MS A+ certification is a plus.

? Knowledge of IT controls concepts (COSO and COBIT) and their application within a variety of technology infrastructures

? Strong written and verbal communication skills

? High level of professionalism, integrity and commitment to quality.

? Candidate must be willing to travel minimum of 40%.
