Clear Channel University (CCU), based in Houston, Texas, is a corporate division of Clear Channel Communications, Inc., a leading global media and entertainment company based in San Antonio.  Focused in the areas of Recruitment, Selection and Development, Clear Channel University is responsible for attracting, selecting, training and developing individuals and teams at all levels of the company.

 

CCU is currently looking for a Content Manager to be a part of our new Intranet team -- Clear Channel Radio?s new Intranet site.  This position will report directly to CCU?s Intranet Director, and will be responsible for gathering, writing, editing, and proofing all content and information posted on the Clear Channel Radio Intranet.  This position is critical to maintaining a high standard of excellence as it relates to content and materials available to employees within the company.

 

General Description: Assist the Intranet Director with gathering and filtering information from all Radio disciplines and regions on a continuous basisWrite content for articles and feature stories posted on the siteWrite content for marketing materials and announcements in support of the launch and ongoing marketing of the IntranetEstablish and enforce style and content standards for the Intranet Effectively communicate and develop relationships with content owners and subject-matter experts to solicit updated information and best practices Edit/proof existing and solicited site materials to ensure a high standard of excellence is maintainedDevelop and maintain an editorial calendar and collateralManage the day-to-day activities and duties of the Intranet?s Content CoordinatorSolicit, review, and revise proposals, presentations, and templates to be utilized by multiple users across the companyStrong research skills as it relates to capturing relevant content from both internal and external resourcesAbility to author postings quickly and accurately Manage and continually update ArchivesProfessionally manage vendor relationshipsProvide support to other areas of the Intranet/University as assigned

 

Job Requirements

 3-5 years experience in a communications or web writing/editing roleBA/BS in English, Journalism, or Communications Excellent writing, editing, and proofing skillsSuperb attention to detail  Strong organization and communication skillsKnowledge of appropriate MS office and web editing tools and database management.Experience in education, marketing or communications desired.Basic HTML coding experience, as well as experience in Cascading Stylesheets (CSS) and other web publishing technologies a plus.
