JAVA/J2EE Information Anyalyst

Requirements

Candidate MUST possesses minimum 3 years experience with the following skills:

Java, Java Beans, JavaScript, JSP, Java Servlets, JUnit or equivalent testing framework, HTML, familiarity with UML (Unified Modeling Language), XML related technologies, STRUTS Framework knowledge/experience.


Experience in the following areas is desirable, but not mandatory:

Knowledge in any of the leading application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, Oracle 10g Application server), IDE knowledge (Eclipse, JDeveloper)

Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related computer field or equivalent work experience is required.

Candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills.

Some limited travel may be required.

Job Description

Under minimal direction, analyzes data and prepares solutions recommendations for a consulting engagement as a specialized member of a project team. Combines a general understanding of IT with a specialization in an industry, business function, or service offering. Applies solid business skills and consulting methodologies to collect and analyze data. Designs, develops, and implements specialized solutions architecture to meet the client?s business needs. Assists in planning the engagement, establishing the engagement requirements, and delivering the results to the client. Develops and assists in making client presentations. Participates in the sale of consulting services by assisting with scoping potential engagements, preparing business proposals, and identifying opportunities for additional business. May lead small, low-risk engagements.

Essential Functions

Responsible for the design and development of Web Applications and Application Systems.
Consults with the client to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction.
Collects, identifies, defines, and organizes detailed user and information technology requirements.
Understands and uses appropriate tool to analyze, identity and resolve business and/or technical problems.
Identifies alternatives, develop prototypes, develop software code that meets clients? business requirements within the defined technical environment (or reuse existing applications as appropriate), optimizing code and designing and performing the necessary testing to ensure that the solution performs to specifications.
