JCOA KnIFE Database Administrator

Job Description: Provides highly technical expertise in the use of DBMS. Evaluates and recommends available DBMS products to support validated customer requirements. Database installation, design, implementation and administration to include: clustering, tuning, patching, backup and recovery. The individual will have to maintain a set of SQL databases supporting the JCOA effort to include the development of scripting to automate SQL management of the hosted data-sets.

Required Skills: BS in Computer Science and seven years experience in programming with three to four years of specialized experience including: demonstrated experience using current DBMS technologies, application and database design utilizing various DBMS and experience with one or more of ODBC, JDBC and OLE DB. Strong SQL Database Administration, Scripting capability to automate database functions. Caple of providing user interface technical assistance and training

Optional Skills: Knowledge of Documentum, Verity K2, or both and how they interact with SQL. Programming skills a plus.

Educational and Certification: BS in Computer Science or related field

Selected candidates must have ACTIVE Final Secret Required / TS-SCI Desired
