JD Edwards Financial Applications Analyst/Developer

A Leader in Business Intelligence seeks a JD Edwards Financial Applications Analyst/Developer to join their force.

 

Summary/Overview

Reporting to Senior Manager, Financial Systems, the incumbent in this position will share responsibility for the analysis, design and development, support, implementation, and enhancement of JDEdwards OneWorld Enterprise One and associated enterprise financial systems.



 

Primary Responsibilities



This is a "technical hands-on" position requiring JDEdwards financial systems experience, as well as a sound understanding of basic accounting principles, and SQL programming skills.



Financial Systems: This position shares responsibility for the company?s accounting system performance, which relies upon accurate and appropriate activities to ensure the integrity of financial data and processes. The incumbent will document business processes and requirements to design, set up, test, and deploy new functionality to include technical and end user documentation. In addition, the incumbent will be required to develop reports and provide customization to standard functionality when needed. The incumbent will provide front-line technical support to end users, troubleshooting systems issues, fielding random questions, and implementing an appropriate fix or escalation to resolve reported issues. (S)he must effectively assess help requests to determine the root cause of the problem, and must apply knowledge of the entire system to implement solutions without causing other issues. At times, the incumbent will train end users to run the software application more effectively. The incumbent will run and analyze integrity reports, reconcile imbalances, and check data integrity on a periodic basis.



Internal Consulting: This position will interact with US and International stakeholders and end customers across multiple functions: IS, Finance, SEC/GAAP reporting, Accounting, Treasury, and Tax. The incumbent will be "on-call" 24 x 7 for emergencies. (S)he may be required to work after hours or to plan and schedule time off so as to minimize disruption to the core business during regular hours, peak accounting (close) periods, or to meet project requirements, such as software upgrade windows. The incumbent must effectively prioritize competing demands, aligning and informing stakeholders through effective goal management and coordination efforts. (S)he must be able to work through ambiguity to identify and resolve issues. The incumbent will document and present project status updates and related issues to IS and company management while keeping internal customers informed. The incumbent will need superb communication and persuasion skills to be highly effective in this role, and will rely frequently and heavily on using e-mail as a means of documenting issues, describing proposed solutions, and educating stakeholders about the reason(s) and "next steps" for the recommended action(s).



 

Position Requirements:



Education/Knowledge: Minimum bachelor?s degree, preferably in a related field.



At least 3 years? JDEdwards OneWorld /Enterprise One financial applications experience in a multi-national/multi-currency ERP environment



General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Service Billing and Distribution modules



JDE Object Management Workbench and Developer Tool Set



Working knowledge of SQL Server and databases



Retrieving data with select statements, Inner and outer joins, sub-queries, grouping data



Creating and managing stored procedures

Travel:
