JD Edwards Specialist

SUMMARY: *Responsible for contact with User Community analyzing needs, gathering requirements and mentoring on how to accomplish business needs through application as delivered or, if not possible, programming to satisfy needs.

*Designs and develops computer applications, including RPG and CL programs.

*Performs maintenance to existing programs and searches for improved processing procedures.

*Thoroughly tests all programs written or changed.

*Documents all programs according to standards and procedures.

*Provides guidance and assists Programmers on special projects.

*Analyze problems and determine short & long term solutions.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

*College degree required or equivalent demonstrated experience.

*5+ yrs experience as a programmer analyst

*2+ yrs on AS400 using RPG III

*3+ yrs experience, both functional and technical, with JD Edwards World and JD Edwards One World.

*Prior experience with MRP manufacturing software highly desirable.

*Fluent in sub-files, full comprehension of RPG III, CL, sorts, multi-file and sequential processing; creative, analytical and able to learn departmental and inter-departmental systems and procedures.

*Ability to use the following applications at proficiency level of an intermediate or advanced: Microsoft Office, RPG, Visual Basics, C++, JD Edwards application and case tools, OS400, UNIX Operating Systems; WAN preferred
