JDE Support Analyst

The ideal candidate assists the business in determining which business requirements can and should be automated and how these automated functions are integrated into the rest of the business and technical processes. Combines a working knowledge of the organization's systems, expertise in the business area as well as in current technology advances and IT capabilities to address issues and problems. Supports high level project definition and initial cost assessment of projects, and supports the integration of various project suppliers and vendors. Creates and/or facilitates process design changes by integrating new systems and/or processes with existing ones.  Ensures that Applications Support team helps and assists the end user population with questions, problems and related issues. Supports all applications from the desktop to the enterprise. Defines special software requirements, capacities, capabilities, etc. to meet user needs.  Ensures all reported applications problems are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.

 

Maintains both a knowledge base and a database of all problems reported along with a library of best practices/solutions for others.  A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of eight years related experience.  Experience in information technology and the function of the business unit is essential.  Must have advanced understanding of technical processes, environments, and problems and solutions as they relate to the business unit's current and future strategies and operating environment. This candidate will have experience in JD Edwards PDM, Inventory and Purchasing modules and will have participated in the implementation process of ERP software systems.
