Java Developer Needed-DTC

Idea Integration is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a 6 month+ contract in the DTC.

Daily responsibilities include analysis for existing systems or implementation of business logic for new systems.

Develops logic procedures, performs coding and tests/debugs programs and assists in production deployments.

Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommend changes in development,

maintenance and systems standards. Works with production support to analyze and fix data inconsistencies, business

logic misinterpretations or code bugs in production environments.

 

 

Essential Functions of position include, but are not limited to the following:

 

?  Analyze, design, develop and implement interfaces

?  Work closely with external vendors/suppliers/partners to ensure continued operations and improvement of interfaces.

?  Maintain and modify interfaces based on approved change requests.

?  Contribute to the creation of project plans through the identification of activities and tasks required to achieve successful systems implementation.Assist the operational teams with root cause analysis and solutions to production issues. Work closely with clients and technical personnel to define and document business cases, statements of work for projects, and business and/or technical requirements. Solicit and/or perform code reviews.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 Strong application development experience using Java, Object Oriented development, Oracle 9i/10G, SQL/PLSQL, Unix Shell Scripting, HP-Unix, Web Architectures, Tier Distributed Models, and Asynchronous Communications Methods.

?  Thorough background in Weblogic/J2EE/Apache/Tomcat web server technologies.

?  Strong experience using SSL, DOM, SOAP and HTTP technologies.Development experience with XML and XML Web Services. Knowledge of database analysis and design. Experience with using UML Modeling, Agile, and Unit Testing methodologies. Experience working in collaborative technical team environment. BS in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience required. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent verbal and written presentation and interpersonal skills.

 

 

Additional Qualifications:Exposure to transaction /messaging oriented systems desired. Experience with Weblogic Integration (WLI)
