Java Developer w/ top International .COM Company

Our client located in Renton, WA has an immediate need for a Java Developer with VBA experience. This client has been in business for nearly 10 years, and is considered to be on the worlds most successful .com companies.  This is a six month contract working via Star Technical, Inc.

 

The Opportunity:

This software development position develops and supports features for the email system of the public site with an extremely high volume of traffic.  The person in this position will be responsible for design, development, and testing of software used by email managers and content developers when constructing emails.  The position requires the ability to parse various XML documents using Java; develop word templates with macros;  conduct code reviews; generate the appropriate accurately estimate the amount of development effort required to implement new software.  This position requires interaction with both technical and non-technical team members within the company and its associated (and remote) organizations, thus excellent communications skills are imperative. 

 

 

The Job Requirements:3+ years of Java development experience.Experience with DOM/SAX/XMLExperience with MS Word macros.Unix / Linux experience including shell script development and some exposure to system administrationBA / BS or equivalent work experience
