We are currently seeking multiple candidates for Java development roles in St. Louis, MO!

 

Major Accountabilities:

 Responsible for the technical planning, design, programming, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of systems application software. Accountable for software quality and service level agreements. Perform systems analysis and design of projects that meet the business need. Consult with Business Owners on new projects. Ensure knowledge transfer of vendor technology to staff. Maintain liaison with internal staff and vendors who have systems design problems or requirements. Support collection and reporting of project and software metrics. Analyze information systems encompassing potential user contact, analysis of goals, problem complexity and feasibility study, logic design and detailed systems flowcharting, analysis of input-output flow, hardware study, forms layout, resource evaluation, and cost and time analysis. Participate in implementation, including maintenance, user allocation, file design, coding, error removal, logic optimization, systems re-evaluation, testing, user approval, final corrections, and program and run time documentation. Write, debug, diagram, create flowcharts, code, and document programs. Prepare technical project plan, incorporating development costs and tasks of the various technical components. Support Disaster Recovery testing. Evaluate requests to determine technical feasibility, develop technical alternatives and recommend optimal technical solutions.


Experience Required: Candidate must have 6 - 8 years of commercial experience and in depth technical expertise on Java server side programming. Similar client-side experience a definite plus.
Candidate must have extensive project experience - designing, coding and deploying J2EE projects. Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE/EJB and Internet Application development skills.
Candidate must present success stories and references from prior companies.
Candidate must have Framework (Application/Infrastructure) design/coding experience e.g. Struts Framework.
Candidate must have heavy design backgrounds using UML and Rational Unified Process (RUP).
Candidate must have proven capabilities in understanding architectures of J2EE based enterprise products and subsequently implementing them.
Prior experience of formally leading a team of software engineers/Jr. developers.
Candidate must have the ability to interface with both technical and nontechnical personnel.
Experience in tranlation of business requirements to functional requirements required.
Solid Oracle/Unix skill a plus.
J2EE and Java Certifications are a plus
Experience with a web based reporting tool is a plus
Experience with WebSphere a plus
