One of our clients has an immediate open position for Java,J2EE Architect.

 

Skills / Duties / Special Remarks

 

Required Skills

(Minimum Mandatory Capabilities)

- In depth knowledge of Structured Software Development Methodologies

- At least 8 years of experience in every phase of the SDLC ? emphasis on RUP.

- Minimum 4 year Engineering/Technical/Science Degree

- At least 5 years of experience in developing applications in a J2EE environment.

- Expertise in Object Oriented Analysis and Design techniques, very Familiar with various design patterns ? GOF & J2EE.

- Hands-on experience in designing & developing applications using Java/J2EE with an Oracle RDBMS with an ability to support them through various stages of the SDLC.

- In depth knowledge of J2EE ? JSPs, struts, portlets, EJB 2.0, transaction management, persistence handling, concurrency, asynchronous messaging etc.

- Past experience using WSAD, Webshpere Portal Server & Toad is a must.

- Knowledge of Rational tools and techniques ? XDE, Clearcase.

- Good Knowledge of Oracle; PL/SQL development experience.

- Excellent communication (oral & written) skills ? ability to communicate with multiple teams within and outside the portfolio.

 

 

Desired Skills

(Skills not Mandatory but useful for Performance)

- Analyze of business requirements to identify and design application and implementation architecture.

- Ability to grasp the existing technical architecture and design solutions that fit in to it, Facilitate the detailed design of the applications ? analyze current architecture and suggest architecture and design enhancements that fit into the Corporations vision. Enhancements to be done analyzing new requirements ? Will be required to design and write Java Code. - Expertise in html, JavaScript, Ant is required.

- Working knowledge of industry-standard technologies (.NET technologies, Lotus Workflow and IBM DomDoc etc)

 

Terms of Reference

(Work to be performed)

-  Lead (hands-on) and supervise Java Development aspects of the portfolio projects

-  Develop in-depth knowledge of Portfolio applications and the ability to perform/supervise enhancement and maintenance tasks

-  Develop the architecture and implementation strategy for new applications to be developed as part of the portfolio

-  Ensure the adherance to CBI Architecture standards for all newly developed appliactions as well as the enhancements to the existing applications

 

  Experience Level: 6 to 10 Years.
