Java/J2EE/Hibernate Developer

Our client in Chapel Hill is seeking a short term (6 months max) contractor to assist in the development of a major Financial Application.

Under the guidance of the project leader, the selected candidate will perform assigned tasks which will be primarily development tasks using Java/J2EE, Struts, Tiles, Hibernate, and Oracle. Depending on the skill level of the selected candidate, architecture and OO design skills could be used. Previous experience with financial applications would be very beneficial.

The selected candidate will work 40 hours per week. The work schedule will be somewhat flexible, but is expected to be in the office Monday - Friday within the core hours of 9:00 - 4:00.  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements.Required:
- Java/J2EE - minimum of 4 years experience
- Struts - minimum of 2 years experience with versions including 1.2.x
- Hibernate - minimum of 1 year experience
- Oracle database - minimum of 2 years experience (versions 9i and/or 10g

Preferred:
- Financial Application experience
- PL/SQL
- XML/XSLT
- Database Design
- Java/OO architecture Evaluation Criteria:(1) Knowledge and experience with above skillset (required and preferred skills)

(3) Availability cannot be longer than 2 weeks notice
