Synectics has an opening in Riverwoods, IL. A Java, Swing and WebSphere Developer is needed to analyze business requirements and subsequently create high level technical design documents and technical specifications in accordance with company architecture standards. Job tasks also include the development of application code using Java, Swing, J2EE and WebSphere; unit and system testing of application code, as well as execution of implementation activities; identification, documentation, estimation and delegation of technical tasks for large, complex projects; and analysis and identification of technical areas of improvement within existing Java/J2EE applications. This consultant will work with other internal IT teams to complete project activities, such as Infrastructure, Architecture and Database teams.
Qualifications for this position include the following:
- Analytical Skills
- Client/Server and Design and testing experience
- Experience with Java, Swing, UNIX and WebSphere
- MS Office expertise
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Eligible to convert to full time employees (possible contract-to-hire position)
