Java Systems Analyst Consultant I - (CB20556)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Leads development efforts for small or medium sized applications or portions of large applications.
? Provides assistance and advice to other technical team members on design and programming techniques.
? Assists in troubleshooting web application or web infrastructure problems.
? Assists in the research of new tools and software.
? Assists in the installation and configuration of the web infrastructure.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent will be required. Certification in related fields is desired.

Job Related Experience: Typically requires five years of web application programming and/or installation/configuration of associated web infrastructure or related experience.

o Excellent interpersonal skills
o Communicates well with others. Ability to communicate technical and sometimes complex information to other developers as well as data center staff.
o Experience in all phases of the software development life cycle.
o Ability to understand business needs and be able to translate that into technical solutions.
o Ability to research and implement solutions to difficult problems.
o Ability to evaluate and recommend new software tools.
o Skilled in multiple technical areas including Java programming (front-end and persistence layers), relational databases/SQL, the HTTP protocol. Knowledge of networking concepts a plus.
o An understanding of data/application security principals and authentication protocols. Experience with digital certificates and/or secure token cards is a plus.
o An understanding of web browsers, web servers and application servers. Specific knowledge of Apache web server, JBoss and WebSphere a plus. Also, Portal software experience is a plus.
o Industry-recognized certifications are a plus, but demonstrated "real-world" experience is a must.
