Java Web Development

 

Our Credit Card Services team seeks a range of web development expertise as it expands its use of Java/J2EE in the building of both internal and external-facing applications used by one of the top-ten credit card issuers in the U.S.. The team is located at our Brookfield, WI facility. We are looking for individuals with web development/design experience specifically as:

Java Solutions Architect
Java Development Lead
Java Developer

Successful candidates will, in addition to operating at a high technical level, lead and mentor other web developers. This team will focus on two broad components, marketing and servicing. The marketing side of the web development is to create tools to intelligently market to new customers while the servicing side will enrich on-line self-servicing for customers. Our integrated card systems team enjoys a very strong, direct relationship with the business line.

Candidates will experience the following: Analysis, Design, Development, Test and Support of complex Java/J2EE systems. Use Rational and IBM tools to translate use cases and wire frame diagrams to Java code in a J2EE environment. Troubleshoot and maintain mission-critical, complex web environment. Apply best-practices Java development patterns to new and existing code.

Successful candidates will possess 3 - 5 years overall J2EE development experience including the following: WebSphere Studio App Developer and Application Server, JSP Development, JavaScript/ HTML / CSS JSP Custom tags, knowledge and practical experience in SQL and database design. Furthermore, 1 ? 3 years experience in the following: Struts and Tiles development, Clear Case, UNIX, XML (configuration and parsing), Frameworks (Spring etc.). Also, must have experience with application and system architecture ? leading or implementing. Knowledgeable of and comfortable with working in RUP and/or iterative development, as well as UML. Sun Certified Java / Web Component Developer / Architect, and experience with managing/working with large systems and using existing frameworks are a plus.
