Java Developer

Status: Contract to Hire

CORE: Dev with Java Swing, JDBC, exp. developing in an Oracle environment

1. Knowledge of Database Design (Most important):

Relational Data
Joins, aggregating, collapsing, sorting
Time order of various operations (eg. for outer joins, sorting etc.)
Normalization/De-normalization
Data Pivoting
2. Knowledge of SQL and Oracle: Features and capabilities of the Language and ORA.

3. Java Skills:

Strong in JDBC
Strong in design of components to deal with data
MVC paradigm
Core java
Swing in Forms
4.XML

5.Other:

DB Connections and Connection Pooling
Transactions and Persistence
(De)Serialization / Blobs
