Jr.Unix/Linux Administrator

Job Duties


The individual will be responsible for administration and maintenance of Web application server technologies in a large enterprise environment. The individual will also responsible for Web application testing in a lab environment and production application deployments. The position will require technical documentation as well as rotational beeper support.


Knowledge and Skills


We are looking for an individual with Junior systems administration skills. Unix or Linux experience is a must. Must also be familiar with internet technologies. Some experience with shell scripting is required. BEA Weblogic or J2EE application servers administration is a plus. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Do you have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science/related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience? Do you have systems administration experience using Unix or Linux? Are you familiar with internet technologies such as Web Servers, FTP, Telnet? Do you have some experience with shell scripting? Are you willing to work in Mahwah, NJ? Are you willing to willing to be on rotational pager support? Do you have any relatives who work for UPS or any of its Subsidiaries? Are you a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer?
