We are currently looking for a Junior DBA for our client based in the Cincinnati area .

This person will be required to handle the day to day DBA tasks including DDL changes, design reviews, SQL tuning, process automation, and general maintenance.  This person will also be required to perform some maintenance tasks overnight.The database environment is UDB for Windows, our client is willing to train someone with relational database experience on Oracle or SQL Server.

Description / Requirements:

 

Primary Skills Requested 
DBA experience with a leading relational database product running in a distributed (non-mainframe) environment.  UDB/DB2 running on Windows is preferred.

Strong SQL skills and experience

Secondary Skills Requested
Java Development
CVS
Eclipse
Experience using Quest Central administration tools
Windows 2003 experience
