Junior to Mid-Level Network Administrator (1555)

We are seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Network Administrator for our New York City office located in mid-town Manhattan.

Job Description:?The Network Administrator will be responsible for all operational aspects of the network, including maintaining network security, resolving hardware and software issues, setting up new user accounts, and coordinating installation of field device equipment. This professional will resolve system performances issues and properly document system changes, including network diagrams, hardware and software inventory.

?

The position may require 24x7 on-call responsibilities as well as after-hours visits for emergency or maintenance work.

?

Required Skills:?

?1-3 years experience with MS Windows 2000/2003 server, experience with enterprise backup and restore procedures, in-depth knowledge of network protocols (NBNS, DNS, IP, WINS).

?Experience with BDC and PDC required.

?Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of one years MIS experience, software support, and an overall knowledge of applications.

?At least 1+ years experience with Microsoft Active Directory is required.

?Strong knowledge of firewalls, routers, and other network equipment required.

?Bachelor?s / Master?s degree in Computer Information Systems or Engineering from a US accredited 4 year university.

?Experience with MS SQL Server or MS Access is a plus. Any experience with C, C++, C# or Perl is a plus. Certifications are a plus.
