KPHC SCAL Application Coordinator

The Application Coordinator (In-Patient) for the Southern California region at Kaiser Permanente is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of the inpatient software used, and serves as a bridge to both end users and the implementation team. The AC is the primary support contact and coordinates all questions/issues that arise during the project and must work collaboratively with process design, interface development, testing and implementation teams with an eye towards the customer. Responsibilities include application build/support, team leadership, interactive activities with business partners, and the maintenance of proper documentation.

This position requires 3 years of application implementation/installation experience; EPIC application experience and EPIC certification (or the ability to obtain it after hire); strong technical, analytical thinking, problem solving, results orientation and communications skills; detail orientation and team focus. You also need clinical health care knowledge; project leadership skills; and a strong application configuration background (with health care or large software applications). A background with health care hospital clinical information systems and a degree in Computer Science/Health Care/Engineering preferred. This position requires initial travel for product certification training, followed by occasional travel.

Kaiser Permanente HealthConnect? is an integrated clinical and administrative information management system that integrates the patients electronic medical record with their appointments, registration and billing information. The system will link KP departments and facilities nationwide, providing KP physicians and care teams access to current and comprehensive patient information and providing KP members 24/7 online access to key portions of their medical record.
