You will support IT systems in all phases of the system lifecycle. You will participate in business process and systems analysis, detailed solution design, solution development, detailed application testing and debugging, creating and reviewing technical and testing/validation documentation, providing 1st/2nd level systems support and issue resolution across all shifts, ad hoc queries, infrastructure change assessment, installation and support of commercial software, development/testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and technical support/administration.
All of these activities must take place in a manner consistent with any applicable regulatory requirements. This position requires regular interaction with representatives from other business units and peers within IT and Quality Operations as needed to support these activities. Responsibilities will include providing analysis and programming support for data migration from legacy systems to a staging database to DataStream (D7i). The conversion process will consist of data mapping and writing conversion programs from legacy systems located on mainframe VSAM files and SQL server tables to a SQL server staging database and/or to comma delimited files to be loaded into D7i Oracle tables. This will require the writing of detail programming specifications, assisting business in the creation of conversion tables (old value to new value), writing and testing of the conversion/migration programs, participating in code reviews, and tracking of the loading process.

You will help with a project at a major pharmaceutical manufacturing operation. The position of Walkdown Technician entails walking through buildings and recording all equipment and instruments contained therein. Findings are then compared to existing database information. In many instances, techs will create a sketch of the layout of equipment within the building. Allergies to medicines should be discussed. Allergies to or problems working around animals should be discussed.
