Basic Job Description:

Telscape Communications, a CLEC specializing in local and long distance telecom services for the Hispanic market, seeks a Billing Application Specialist to provide configuration and operational support services.

Responsibilities:
? Complete system configuration projects, including development, testing, documentation, and implementation.  Determine implementation approach based upon business requirements.
? Provide daily operational support for the Kenan/BP (Arbor/BP) billing application.  Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
? Execute billing system processes to generate telephone bills for the subscriber base.
? Perform Kenan/BP billing application software upgrades

 Required:
? BS/BA degree in Business and/or Computer Science (or related discipline)
? Two years experience in Kenan/BP or Arbor/BP configuration.

? Ability to query the Kenan database (Oracle v9i).

? Working knowledge of Kenan Version 11.0, APIs.

? Ability to support Kenan/BP production system operations.
? Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Unix.
? Understanding of telecom billing concepts. 
? Understanding of relational databases.
? Organized and thorough with strict attention to detail.
? Ability to problem-solve and work independently.
? Willingness to work a non-standard schedule, including weekends, when necessary.

? At least two years of Telco experience.

? Working knowledge of iGen and ARM

? Telecommunications background required.
