LAN Administrator I

Provide Michael Baker Corporation with LAN/WAN System Support. Reporting to Houston IT Director, and providing technical support and service for the Houston Energy and Engineering client community.

Duties:Manage day-to-day support of network components including LAN/WANMaintain DS/ service levels as described in DS/SLA DocumentProvide technical support to project managersUtilize trouble ticketing system for tracking workloadParticipate in site specific technical projectsUtilize Change Management Process from Baker Digital ServicesProvide desktop support for internal clientsPerform Escalation as requiredExercise time managementParticipate in LAN/WAN infrastructure upgrade, and installationsBuild new desktop and laptop machines as requiredDevelop and maintain effective business and personal relationships with all clients and managementMaintain business contacts and liaison with outside groupsAttend organizational and staff meetings

 

This position requires limited guidance and direction from Digital Service Directors with the exception of general information and escalation, or resource requirements. Procurement discussion and justification is key. Must be able to respond positively to coaching, and feedback.
