LAN-WAN Helpdesk Specialist

A national and stable corporation seeks a LAN-WAN Helpdesk Specialist for their corporate office in the West Broward area.  This position reports to the Director of IT.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:PC hardware & software installation and maintenance Laptop hardware and software installation and maintenance Basic LAN-WAN connectivity Identify problems, troubleshoots and provides advice to assist users with remote connectivity, email, printing and dialup. Provide application support for Microsoft Office Suite of products Provide support with virus removal, Spyware and Adware removal Basic telephone set and connectivity testing Maintain log of helpdesk requests and their resolutions Coordinate with other IT areas to resolve problems Rotate AS400 daily, weekly tapes plus Server tapes



REQUIREMENTS:1-2 years experience in positions such as Help Desk, Desktop Support, or as a LAN Administrator supporting multiple sites, including remote locations MUST have strong diagnostic skills MUST be able to travel nationwide 2-5 times a year Experience with the following: Computer hardware Networking with TCP/IP Basic knowledge of routers, switches, hubs, and analog-DSL modems CAT5 CAT5E, Fiber, Patch panels Windows 200 Professional Windows XP Professional Basic knowledge in Windows 2000/2003 Active Directory Administration Microsoft Office 2000, 2003, & XP
