Job Opening: Lawson Functional Programmer

Job Summary:


Working as a member of multidisciplinary project teams, this position is responsible for supporting our Lawson Financials and HR/Payroll system, including production support and troubleshooting, developing custom interfaces between Lawson and related systems, developing custom reports and interfaces, writing SQL or shell scripts to improve automation, improving custom controls and customizing LID and Portal screens. Support version8.x of the following Lawson Modules: Activities, Asset Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, Benefits and HR. liaison with Lawson Global Support Center for resolution.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 Work with Lawson users to ensure that systems are operating and performing as required.Provide support and trouble shooting regarding various Lawson applications and external system interfaces. Participate in systems upgrades Collaborate with business and IT to develop new programs, reports, customizations, and integrations as needed Adhere to established processes and procedures. Make recommendations for improvement/ enhancement to processes/ procedures. Participate in Technical Reviews of system Research new tools and methods Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

 4+ years programming in all financial and HR/PR Lawson applications Bachelor's degree or equiv. work exp. Analysis, coding, maintenance, testing, customer follow up Working knowledge of DB2, Oracle, Informix, LADB, VSAM Knowledge of COBOL(74 and 85), SQL Strategic and Conceptual Orientation Superior problem solving skills Excellent communication skills Willingness to be flexible and excellent customer service skills mandatory
