Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Plan & manage technical architecture & operations projects; ensure business deliverables are committed, communicated clearly, & delivered on time. Assist & lead project members in analyzing & resolving computer infrastructure challenges. Research, evaluate & take responsibility for implementing solutions to architectural & operational needs of the business. Produce & maintain project documentation & provide appropriate communications for responsibilities assigned. Maintain & apply current knowledge of information technology; keep abreast of new & emerging technologies & help determine if/how they can be used to add value to the business. Responsible for Global Collaboration Tools Operations Support for TSG organization. Includes, but not limited to: Lotus Sametime, Lotus QuickPlace, Webex, Livelink, GE Folders. Assist in developing Global Support Framework to manage Performance & Availability for all Collaboration Tools & Web Services infrastructure...to facilitate future support growth & acquisitions. Assists in create a standard global support framework to provide Web services & Collaboration Tools services across the enterprise. Develop vision & strategy for support models, determine resource needs, & help manage operational budgets. Identify cost-out ideas, build project plans, & drive execution. Develop & implement strategy for installing & upgrading Web technology solutions. Assist in Managing & Coordinating the work of IT professionals, both GE & contractors, located across the globe, to meet daily Operational business SLAs. Help develop & track operational metrics. Work with Level-2 web support team to help manage & resolve escalated service calls & change requests. Work closely with CIO/P&L groups, TSG Engineering, & GE Corporate for Collaboration version upgrades. Work closely with application architecture & TSG Engineering to maintain/improve Collaboration tools & Web environment & develop/ensure global standards.

Qualifications/Requirements:
B.S. degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience. Significant experience in the successful implementation of technology to address business needs. Significant experience in Information Technology with a variety of hardware and software disciplines. Strong project management and leadership skills. Demonstrated planning and organization skills. Excellent written and verbal communications. Effective interpersonal skills. Experience and knowledge of current web technologies, including working with Jboss, Weblogic. 3-5 years experience in Project Management. Includes involvement in design, build, implementations, tuning, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of IBM collaboration tools and Siteminder experience is desirable.

Desired:
Working knowledge around IT Operations. Operational experience and knowledge of current and emerging Collaboration tools and Web technologies. GB Certified. Export Controlled vs Non-Export Controlled knowledge
