Job Description:
Responsible for gathering, analyzing business requirements, design, testing and prioritizing requirements to facilitate the development of new systems or technical solution to a business issue. Provides the ongoing production support of existing systems with moderate complexity and scope, utilizing standard procedures and techniques. Provides input to support the business case and estimates for costing.
" Works with senior analysts on complex or moderately complex business requirements and determines alternative solutions for data, processes, interfaces, controls and outputs fit within the schedule and budget.
" Develops test plan scenarios to validate programs/application functionality and integration. Analyzes results and records any defects discovered through the testing process.
" Documents/translates moderately complex business requirements into functional specifications and design documents. Participates in the technical design. Participates and supports users business case.
" Follows standards and methodologies in the development life cycle;
" Develops software/vendor comparison analyses in order to expand inventory of recommended solutions
" Works with business users to develop answers to ad-hoc business problems
" Researches Data Quality issues with Business Users and remediates the issues with IT
" May lead, mentor or direct the work of other team members or analysts
" Contributes to defining time tables and project plans; analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost and compatibility with other systems
" Documents, monitors and accountable to direct manager for teams timeline/progress (i.e. MS Project or applicable tool).



Job Requirements:
Principal interaction with team and direct manager. Interaction with some peers within IT department and their staff related to current assignments. Limited interaction with IT Executives, business unit customers or external vendors
Demonstrates ability to express and organize thoughts, ideas, and information in a logical and understandable manner both in writing and verbally in relation to issues that fall within their scope of responsibility. Ability to facilitate meeting with team, peers or direct manager and clearly articulate the issues at hand.
Responsible for requirements for one large, or several smaller business systems. Provides functional knowledge to a work group in the production of components for a system development project. Analyzes and collaborates with team and business unit customers. Formalizes analysis in the form of functional specifications. Researches data quality issues with business unit and/or IT and remediates, as needed. Test solutions.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision at a project lead level. Ability to execute and prioritize a number of tasks. Initiate and conduct meetings with team and peers to communicate analysis results. Has decision authority within a single, moderate size project
Occasionally participates in identification of resource requirements.
Contribution to strategic execution/direction for a specific business area or project. Participates in building the plan. Responsible for identification and design of complex processes and controls within a specific business area or project.
Knowledge and ability to utilize company-specific policies for input to the planning and administration of project budgets.
Influences team to analyze the big picture, as needed.
Professional level expertise in a specialized body of knowledge.
