Lead Business Systems Analyst

Our client, an international strategy and management consulting firm, is seeking a Project Manager / Business Systems Analyst to lead the development of new and enhanced applications for their Global Human Resources function.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is an integral component of the company?s HR Systems Team which is a key function in their people-oriented consulting operation.  The successful candidate will both lead and participate as a team member in a number of projects to build out the company?s HR system to encompass Career Development, Staffing and Recruiting, and implementation of a Management Dashboard and advanced reporting tools.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Development Projects

?  Lead HR and cross functional system projects

?  Develop project plans containing  detailed tasks, resources and timelines

?  Develop functional system specifications; review and approve technical specifications

?  Work individually or on teams to complete projects

 

System Implementation and Support

?  Create implementation plans and procedures for system rollout

?  Develop test strategies and detailed test plans

?  Conduct system and user acceptance testing

?  Work with IT to resolve system problems

 

Application and User Support

?  Act as a liaison between the users and IT

?  Develop and maintain business process and application documentation

?  Develop and maintain training documentation, and conduct training as required

?  Support the users with their day-to-day application use

?  Work with the users to develop best practices across the offices

?  Implement process improvements that will impact all offices worldwide

?  Provide information and reporting from our HR systems

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

?  Bachelor of Arts or Science degree

?  8+ years experience in business systems

?  Experience with HR System applications and reporting

?  Solid experience in functional / technical liaison role

?  Report writing experience, preferably using an ad hoc query tool

?  Strong functional understanding of relational databases

?  Experience with Microsoft Excel developing advanced spreadsheets and other Office products

?  Experience working with an offshore technical environment preferred

?  Experience in an international professional services organization preferred
