Lead Business Systems Analyst with OOA

Our North Orange County client is actively searching for top notch Consultant with previous big 6 consulting background to join a progressive IT organization as a Lead Business Systems Analyst.   This position is a 2 year contract on a new development project! 

 

The candidate of choice must have strong experience with UML, OOA, RUP process modeling, requirements gathering and documenting Use Cases. Ability to define new processes within the requirements gathering and testing phases of the SDLC is a must.

 

This person will be a part of a high performance team working with users, gather/define business requirements, identify and define key business performance requirements, writing/build functional specifications and Use Cases, which will be used by the Developers to build the "custom" modules. This is a large-scale, custom application project to expand existing planning functionality.

 

Industry experience with SCM, Distribution, Sale and Incentives, Order Management, Warehouse order fulfillment operations, Logistics, Inventory Management, etc. is preferred. 

 

General Responsibilities:

 Analysis, design, testing, and support of complex systems and enhancements. Improve processes and functionality. Primary responsibility for identifying requirements and quality assurance phases of the application life cycle. Plans, organizes, documents, coordinates and schedules all work in the development of assigned tasks. Communicates project/task design, schedules and status to Management, Business Partners or other IS teams and project members.

 

Required Experience/Skills:

 Familiarity with UML and process modeling (5 years) Knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst on projects using Object Oriented/ component based technologies (C++, Java, C#, Smalltalk, etc.).7 years in applications development using a defined systems development methodology (SDLC). Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Customer/team oriented with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

 

The client is anxious to move quickly and is looking for a sharp, articulate, bright professional who work well within a fast paced environment.  The project duration will be approximately 1.5 to 2 years.
