Lead Database Administrator

Ingersoll Rand Climate Control Technologies Sector is seeking an experienced Lead Database Administrator for our Minneapolis, MN location.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Design, implement and maintain complex databases with respect to software control language, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, reorganization and statistical methods. Includes both maintenance of database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design, for all applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and implement application database management system and data dictionary for both all applications.

Establish and ensure compliance with the established database standards and methodology.

Provide analytical and technical support for applications systems and the database management system; provide expertise to application developers and end users.

Senior Member of Oracle ERP and Windchill PLM implementations. Help architect software and hardware to support the aggressive roll-out schedule. Coordinate all teams to achieve technical goals.

Provide technical leadership and guidance for other IT personnel related to database management/administration.

Resolve database problems and choose optimum solutions from database design/implementation alternatives.

Evaluate new products and technologies and make recommendations for acquisition, particularly as it applies to future distributed processing applications.

Help manage Outsourcing Vendors. Escalate issues to Senior Ingersoll Rand and Vendor personnel to ensure system uptime and to reach project milestones.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in Computer Science, or its recognized equivalent in education or experience.

7 + years database administration/management.

4 years database administration/management. Experience must be in a distributed processing environment.
