Lead IT Analyst

Lead IT Analyst Description: Volt Services Group is currently seeking an IT Analyst to maintain and support multiple web applications for a major client. These applications serve as training, marketing, and communications portals to multiple audiences. The applications were developed by a different vendor and utilize a wide range of technologies therefore there is a lot of discovery and learning required by all the members of the dedicated support team.

The primary tasks include: maintenance and support of three websites and a reporting system, support the integration and deployment of new content and training material, support e-mail blasts, ad-hoc query support, maintenance of existing data feeds, debugging, and testing. In addition, some minor enhancements may be needed and those will require design, development, and testing activities.




Requirements:
Required Skill Set:
(1) Strong skills in Java, MySQL, HTML, and XML.
(2) Also need experience in several (but not necessarily all) of the following: Linux, PHP, JSP, and Struts (or a similar framework).
(3) Additional experience with any/all of the following is beneficial: Apache, Perl, Resin, and MS SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services.
(4) Must be a self-starter and quick-learner.

Years of Experience: 5+

Daily Job Duties:
(1) Support the integration, testing, and deployment of new site content.
(2) Analyze reporting system, maintain existing reports, and develop new reports.
(3) Troubleshoot system errors and develop/test corrections.
(4) Monitor and maintain data feeds.
(5) Support ad-hoc query requests and data analyses.
(6) Design and develop enhancements, as required.
