Lead Linux Admin

Lead Linux Admin Description: Volt is seeking Lead Linux Administrator to work in a high security data center in North Austin area.

This is a direct hire/perm position with excellent benefits.

Senior Linux Systems Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day operations, capacity planning, and documentation of processes to deploy and maintain applications for UNIX systems "RedHat" in a high security, 24x7 Linux Application Service Provider environment.


The candidate will also support the ongoing operations and services infrastructure needed to achieve the highest service levels (e.g., availability, performance, etc.) and consequent high customer satisfaction.

Duties include daily maintenance of production and support servers, maintenance of production and support servers, including o/s installation, upgrades, backups, performance monitoring/tuning, security, problem resolution, and process automation.






Requirements:
5 to 8 years experience in enterprise class Linux Systems Administration.
Experience in high security data center operations.
Strong understanding of high-availability architectures and technologies.
Extensive experience writing scripts with tools such as Perl and UNIX shell required.
Must have experience with AIX P-series IBM servers
