Experience/Skills Required (must have!):
Technical:

-  CCIE (CCNPs may be considered) Certification

-  Strong understanding of Cisco switching and router technology

-  Expert experience programming and maintaining firewalls

-  Ability to diagnose networking problems

-  Understanding and familiarity with Disaster Recovery policies and procedures

-  Eight or more years experience working in a Network Support environment

-  Service provider experience highly desired

-  Network administration and maintenance experience

 

Non-Technical:

 

-  Problem solver

-  Process Oriented (Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation & Support)

-  Ability to interface well with all levels of the Technical & Business community

-  Excellent organizational, communication (written & verbal), and interpersonal skills

-  Self motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision

-  Team Player with excellent customer service skills

-  Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience


Duties:

-  24 x 7 on call responsibilities

-  Lead major enterprise network infrastructure projects

-  Support large environments with multiple configurations and technologies

-  Design, Install, maintain, and repair Cisco based networks

-  Perform engineering activities in all phases of a project to include: discovery, design, build, test, and deploy

-  Work with large customers to identify high-level business requirements

-  Complete complex trouble-shooting activities

-  Employ advanced network administration and system maintenance talents to solve problems
