Software Programming Lead
What You'll be Doing:
Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of mission critical application servers. These servers are used to support AIG VALIC?s work flow system, AWD, and various transactional applications. Responsibilities include pro-actively monitoring and optimizing the applications, evaluating the impact of revisions to applications on the servers, installing application software upgrades/fixes, coordinating upgrades/patches to the operating system and leading small projects. Tasks will involve analyzing, troubleshooting problems and resolving end user software problems. On occasion problem resolution will consist of working with software vendors.
These servers consist of various operating systems, Windows and IBM AS400, and different DBMS, DB2 and SQL Server.
What We Require
3 plus years experience with one or more operating systems.
Good communication skills, organizational skills and problem solving skills
Experience with AWD server software a plus.
Experience leading small projects a plus.
