Lean Manufacturing Specialist - JB10805 - (JB10805)

Opportunity for a dynamic, innovative person who can lead continuous improvement activities to streamline processes, remove waste and deliver high quality, on-time products to internal and external customers.

This position has responsibility for the entire value stream suppliers to customers in production and engineering areas and may supervise employees in these areas through team leaders.



Responsible for identifying, analyzing and developing improvements in productivity, quality and production engineering while ensuring compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
Acts as advisor to quality assurance and engineering teams regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
Must have good team-building and communication skills and be able to build good rapport with people throughout the organization.
Continuous improvement activities have support from top management and training in these principles is ongoing for employees at all levels.

Minimum Requirements:

B.S. Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Degree, proficiency with Lean Manufacturing philosophy and methods, including Kaizen and 5S practices, Kanban and material replenishment tools, process reengineering, precision machining, statistical tool application, Lean Sigma, assembly and production testing.

Must have good computer skills. Should have some supervision experience in a non-union plant.

Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing Black Belt certification and proficiency with Microsoft Access database software is a plus.
