Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the installation/tailoring/ and configuring of all Linux test and production servers. Responsible for functionality, stability, control, performance and capacity planning of all Linux based servers. Ensure company policies and standards are adhered to. Create and maintain all documentation. Work with department managers and general IT staff to analyze and resolve problems associated with technical issues.

Job Requirements
5 + years of knowledge with RedHat or SUSE and Debian. 5+ year in Kernel customization. Strong UNIX scripting experience is required (e.g. Perl, Bash). 2 + years of experience in configuration and support of EMC SAN. 2+ year experience with installing and supporting database (e.g. Postgres, Oracle). 2 + years of experience in configuration and support of JBOSS and Apache. 2+ year experience with Clustering (e.g. Lustre). 2+ years experience with Linux security practices and implementations (e.g. Tripwire, Snort). 2+ SQL language experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving ability, flexibility as well as the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work. Must be detail-oriented, and have the ability to identify tasks and resolve them

Certifications
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or SUSE Certified Linux Processional (CLP) Preferred.

Required Education:
Bachelor degree in MIS or Computer Science or Business or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
