Logistics Admin with Technical Skills
High profile client in Downtown Washington DC has a 3-6 month contract opening with a possibility for extension with immediate start.
Technical knowledge required: Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, proficiency using Window XP and MS Office (especially MS Excel Spreadsheets). Knowledge of Lotus Notes email program would be a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
-Created image DVDs using ISO files located on the companies network.
-Imaged and built over 100 Stand alone servers and domain controllers for deployment overseas.
-Possibly travel to install newly built servers.
-Configure Cisco Aironet Wi-Fi access points for deployment overseas.
-Generate a detailed network map using Microsoft Visio at the request of various members of management.
-Responsible for updating the Country Office Program Management Database using biweekly status reports submitted from Regional Leaders as well as knowledge gained from attending weekly project meetings. Expected to publish the CO PMO status report via email, highlighting the groups' major accomplishments for the week.
-Responsible for managing the logistics of the Country Office group: required to ship all network/computer equipment to various country offices. This duty takes up the bulk of the time and requires heavy lifting from time to time.
- Attend weekly CO Staff and Project meetings. Required to set up the conference calling equipment and any other hardware that client may need i.e. LCD projectors, laptops, etc. Then take and distribute the "Minutes" from the meeting. This requires the ability to take detailed notes on technical matters. Then distribute an electronic copy to all attending the meeting.
-Generate basic excel spreadsheets using data specified by Regional Leaders and also update Powerpoint slides as needed.
-Required to update the Country Office Network Link status in the Department's metrics spreadsheet. Subsequently, this spreadsheet gets published on the company website.
-Also have close contact with representatives from Dell, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, and PC Mall.Gov in order to request price quotes for generation of Purchase Orders.
