Lotus Notes Database Administrator

Prestigious Law firm based in mid-town has an opening for a Lotus Notes Database Administrator.

 

Must be availalbe to work 8a-4p and 11a -7p - shifts will rotate.

 



In conjunction with the Database Administration Coordinator, supports every portion of the Lotus Notes environment including development, testing, production & extranet sharing.  Also responsible for monitoring, maintaining and supporting all of our Lotus Notes Databases.  In conjunction with Network Systems, manages the building, configuring, and emergency management of all Lotus Notes application servers, and the sharing of our databases over the extranet.  In addition, will create and maintain Database Administration tools, such as views, agents, monitors, etc., investigate/explore new database technology and support tools to address the firm?s database needs.

MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS:

?        Bachelor?s degree
?        A minimum of  3 years experience in Lotus Notes database administration
?        Excellent interpersonal/analytical/customer service skills
?        Excellent time management  & communication skills.

REQUIRED
COMPETENCIES:

?        Thorough knowledge of Lotus Notes Domino (4x-7x) including Lotus Notes client configuration, client tools, and server tasks.
?        Understanding of WindowsNT/2003 & Symantec Antivirus for domino, Lotus Notes design, MS Exchange/Access/Excel and Word.
?        Administrative experience with SQL Server, DB2, or Oracle a plus.



The position is:
 - 5% development
- 45% database support (access requests, corruption, maintenance, setup and creation)
- 30% client support (trouble shooting, and local file management)
- 25% server side domino management of tasks, errors, crashes, and settings
- Knowledge of Lotus Script and @Formula language is a plus, but it is not required.  
- The applicant needs to understand development concepts, but they do not need to be a developer
