Description
Strong Java developer needed to work on prop trading application. Front office role working on portfolio construction and strategy backtest technology.

ETL (Equity Trading Lab) proprietary traders and researchers develop trading strategies that are heavily dependent on a wide range of market and financial data, both real-time and end-of-day. The Market Data/ETL (METL) team develops, maintains and operates processes that interact with markets around the globe in realtime, and database systems that warehouse a wide range of financial data. In addition, the team develops and maintains a Java based back-testing and trading System that is used by the proprietary traders and researchers for trade simulations and realtime trading. The core function of this position is to develop, maintain, and support the Back-testing and Trading System. Additional responsibilities include turnover planning and implementation, testing, coordination with ETL researchers, trader supervisors and ETL team members in other regions.



Skills Required
Minimum of 5 years Java experience,or 2-3 years Java expericence with other OO programming experience. Perl, ksh. Sybase, SQL, UNIX/Linux. Knowledge of financial markets. Solid communication skills. Strong team player. Self-starter, self-manager.


Skills Desired
C++, knowledge of filter.
