MS SQL Server Developer / Architect

Responsibilities for this role include performing the following duties: Design, develop and support development databases for new web applications. Lead design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of development, test and production SQL Server database environments. Develop databases to support web based, high-volume transaction applications. Build and update complex stored procedures. Maintain and develop ASP.NET web pages (C#). Evaluate and monitor databases to identify and resolve performance issues. Develop complex data extracts from existing SQL 2000 data warehouse.

5+ years of proven Database experience using MS SQL Server 2000 in a high volume environment and 4+ years programming SQL stored procedures, triggers, and DTS packages are required. Candidates must have experience with synthesizing requirements from business users and transforming it into logical and physical design using database design tools. They must be knowledgeable with database principles and practices and possess a verifiable track record of hands-on development and support using proven methodologies. Ability to proactively evaluate and update physical and logical designs, including complex stored procedures, in response to dynamic business needs is required. MS Reporting Services 2000 and MS Office & VBA automation using SQL Server is a plus. Candidates must be highly organized, capable of handling multiple priorities, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
