Mainframe Developers

Position Description: Mainframe Developer for a team responsible for delivery of large and small development/enhancements projects. Developer will support the analysis, design, development and testing phases of projects for a large, complex application suite that spans multiple platforms and technologies.  Work with appropriate architects to ensure the system and /or application designs meet corporate and /or architecture requirements.  Work with business analysts to ensure all business and user requirements are met.  Develop detailed system specifications by interpreting the business, user, functional, and non-functional requirements

 

Required Skills: Minimum 5 years mainframe design/development experience using: COBOL, IMS DB/DC, JCL, TSO/ISPF, MVS and a minimum of 2 years experience using DB2 and QMF.

 

Preferred Skills: Experience with RACF and CLIST; experience with the following skills are also a plus: PERL, UNIX, Linux, HTML, XML, Java Script, J2EE, VBscript

 

Additional information: Will need to be able to demonstrate effectiveness working on teams, and work with minimal direction on designated assignments.  Be able to create functional specifications and translate those specifications into IT solutions. Experience working on a large IMS application experience would also be a plus.
